Thanks to our community's support, the City of Eugene's latest budget draft now includes a line item for alternative response and a request that the City Manager allocate up to $2.2 million in supplemental funding towards a fully funded alternative response service in Eugene. We showed them the data and told them the stories and they heard us loud and clear. CAHOOTS was an essential service and Lane County is NOT a replacement. WVCC is busy getting prepared to bid on a Request for Proposal (RFP). We will not give up on what we love. We are committed to getting back on the road and back to serving you. Show up for us one last time on Monday at 7:30pm tell the City that we need a fully funded alternative response program back on the road as soon as possible. Sign up for public comments starting half an hour before the meeting.
